Uber’s commitment:
We've made a commitment to strive towards eliminating vehicle emissions across the platform by 2040 and transitioning all deliveries to sustainable packaging by 2030.
In line with our mission, to reimagine the way the world moves for the better, we’ve made significant investments to help driver partners transition to electric and hybrid vehicles by partnering with companies to increase the supply of lower emissions vehicles to driver partners on our platform, educate consumers on shared rides, micromobility solutions including e-bikes, and even shifting Australia’s ‘one person, one car’ mentality.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but our work is far from over. And we’ll maintain progress by continuing to evaluate where we stand and sharing results to drive accountability.

- 2024 Business Sustainability Survey’ research methodology: In June 2024, Uber for Business commissioned global research company Censuswide to survey 151 Australian business leaders about their organisations’ approach to sustainability, including the policies and practices they’ve put into place. Respondents were 66% from mid-market (500-2,499 employees) and 34% from enterprise (2,500+ employees) organisations. The group, defined as senior business leaders with decision-making responsibilities at their organisation, were made up of 46% Senior Managers, 21% Directors, 19% C-Suite, and 14% Business Owners.
